Fun at the Wilderness Lodge

The weekend before school started, our family went to the Wilderness Lodge water park. We didn't tell Clayton where we were going so when we arrived he was so excited! This is such a fun place to visit! The indoor water park has slides, a wave pool, and a really cool surfing ride! The outdoor park has a wave pool and a lazy river. Claire loved the wave pool! She would crawl around the edge and splash so hard that she kept splashing herself in the face! They also had an area that had baby swings in the water that she liked. Clayton and Terry couldn't wait to ride the surf/body board ride. So while Claire napped in her stroller, they waited in line for an hour. Waiting wasn't hard, because we got to watch everyone attempt to surf! The life guards did a little showing off for the crowds too. Clayton did a good job! He finally stayed on and got to surf a little! This is really a tough ride! Terry did well too! Then we got to see- WIPE OUT! We had so much fun laughing with one another! Too bad that I don't have pictures of me screaming my head off on the HUGE water slide that is shaped like a funnel to share with you! Clayton got such a kick out of that! What a wonderful way to end our summer vacation!
